Spend two

Fly south to
Phuket and transfer to Khao Lak, your base for the next week's
project work. You will stay at the 4-star Khao Lak Sunset
Resort, located on a stunning beach on the shores of the Andaman
Sea. Each day there will be the choice of joining one of the
voluntary projects, such as assisting at an orphanage or helping
to repair fishing boats, or you can opt out and enjoy the
peaceful surroundings of the jungle or beach.

Head back to
Phuket, enjoying a boat trip to view the spectacular limestone
formations of Phang Nga Bay en route. Your last two nights are
spent at the Deevana Patong Resort & Spa, with a chance to enjoy
its spa facilities, do some last minute shopping, or simply top
up the tan!

Thailand have been running volunteering programmes to
communities in Khao Lak since the tsunami of 2004, and work
closely with the local communities to assist with their recovery
and development needs. Projects include helping to repair
fishing boats and nets, teaching English and helping with
childcare activities at a local community centre.
